Expanding North East presence in International Markets Overall Objectives and Outputs The project will address key aspirations of the North East LEPs ESIF by supporting companies to develop export growth strategies, and enter international markets.
The key objectives of the project are to: - Deliver strategic export support to 360 ambitious and North East SMEs, with a focus on the LEP priority sectors and the needs of Transitional area beneficiaries. - Increase employment in those SMEs supported by creating 325 new jobs - Increase the number of Transitional area companies considering exporting as a development of their business model through an increase of regional ITA specialist. - Assist a minimum of 360 companies to improve their export performance through access to the Export Development Fund - Deliver sustainable export processes and knowledge transfer to the 135 companies through the Virtual Export Managers and Export Sector Specialists
