Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Trust) has awarded a contract for ongoing servicing and maintenance of the vertical transport installations (Lifts) at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital and Ropewalk House .
The Term is 2 years with the option to extend for a further 36 months.
This extension shall take the form of three 12-month incremental periods.
The Trust has lifts located across all three campuses and is therefore required to maintain a high level of reliability and availability of its units by way of both planned preventative as well as reactive maintenance services (The Services).
The operational management of the Lifts within the Trust are an important aspect of ensuring operational effectiveness of the hospitals.
Therefore, contractor is required to ensure that lifts belonging to or maintained by the Trust are serviced and maintained to the required standards.
A key requirement of the services is for the contractor to provide a 1-hour response time from receipt of a call out to attend site in the event of an entrapment.
The justification for this is that, in the event of an entrapment, a trapped patient suffers may suffer a serious medical incident.
The Contract has been procured via further competition as permitted under Lot 1 (Servicing and Maintenance of Passenger/Goods Lifts) of the Fusion21 Lifts Framework: https://www.fusion21.co.uk/frameworks-lifts https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/86299-2020 https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/335823-2020
