This notice refers to a direct award of an interim contract to ensure continuity of essential health services to the local population whilst a new integrated care model is developed during 2018/19 ready for procurement in 2019/20.The CCG has assessed that it is not in the best interests of patients to change service provision at this time, but to retain a consistency of service provision until the CCG has finalised its future requirements.
The 10 month interim service will support the CCG to review its commissioning intentions, in particular clinical pathways and demand management approaches.
The new model of service to be established will ensure integrated pathways to deliver holistic patient care aligned with NWL strategies.
This interim contract award is necessary to enable NHS Brent CCG to develop and validate its specified requirements and commissioning approach for the long term future of the service.
The CCG plans to engage with the market during 2018 to assist development of its future specification of requirements, with the intention of informing the process to award a substantive contract to deliver the new model of care from 2019.
Market engagement will commence during 2018.
