The brief

What do we want to procure Aligned to the delivery of national priorities and manifesto commitments, a support subscription for all primary care contractors (general practice, community pharmacy, dental and optometry) with opportunity to access support through: • Structured training events • Networking • Personal development • Webinars • E-learning • Local workshops • Helpdesk support for specialist advice and immediate support • Surgery sessions • Events and networks Any particular skill or experience a supplier would need • Ability to demonstrate values which reflect the values of the NHS • Strong evidence of o Primary care expertise across all 4 primary care contractor groups o Understanding of primary care contract and performer management • Ability to provide specialist support and expert advice, specific but not restricted to: o Legislative and contractual frameworks, including performer management o Commissioning o Contracting o Service re-design, development and improvement o Procurement and market entry o Quality improvement and value for money o Finance o Premises o Contract performance and performer management o Whole system working o Facilitation • Strong evidence of ability to deliver structured training events through workshops, personal development sessions, webinars and networking opportunities with a focus on: o Expert knowledge share o Informing insight o Providing and enhancing knowledge and expertise o Providing development opportunities o Building support through networks • Flexible approach to delivery of support in a changing and challenging environment o Variable locations Any relationships with other organisations or access to data or expertise they need etc Relationships with the following organisations are key: • NHS England & Improvement • Experience of working at a national and regional level • Relationships with national policy leads • Links with BSA • Department of Health and Social Care • Local authorities • LMCs • Primary care provider organisations • Integrated care systems and organisations which are a part of • Primary care networks Target audience: Primary care contractor groups - GP, pharmacy, ophthalmic and dentistry Desired learning outcomes: • Technical expertise • Query and issue resolution • Network development • Personal and team development • New/updated ways of working Interested providers are requested to express their interest in writing to Anna Calderwood, Primary Care Senior Manager (Transformation) - NHS England and NHS Improvement - North East & Yorkshire Regional Team: (email anna.calderwood@nhs.net).
