Market Engagement Event for Primary Care Occupational Health Service for London - RTL065
NHS England - London Region would like to invite Bidders to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of the intentions to procure Primary Care Occupational Health service for London.
Background: In March 2016, NHS England published a national standard service specification for occupational health services to primary care.
The aims were to standardise the commissioning of OHS nationally, to ensure cost effective, high quality and accessible service provision and to standardise the reporting and provision of management information.
The purpose of this procurement is to commission primary care occupational services in London in line with the new national specification.
We are looking to commission these services through five contracts covering each of the 5 STP areas in London.
We currently have 12 Service Level Agreements covering occupational health services for independent primary care contractors in support of their employer responsibility.
Duration of Contract: 3 years plus 2 years extension Primary Care Occupational Health service provision, as outlined in the national specification, encompasses: Schedule I - A core service for performers registered on the national performers list Schedule II - Independent performer applications to join the National Performers List Schedule III - Fee for service OH service made available to independent primary care contractors in support of their employer responsibility.
This service is for the employers to refer their employed staff to and for self-referral by employees.
The service providers will be expected to: Comply with the requirements and quality standards as outlined in the NHS England Primary Care Occupational Health Service Specification (Publication Date 15 March 2016.

Market Engagement: A Market Engagement Event will be held on Friday, 27th January from 9.00am - 10.30am.
The event will take place at: Skipton House, 80 London Road, London, SE1 6LH.
The Market Engagement Event will provide: • an overview of the national specification and current provision in London • details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions • an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline Places are limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation.
