(The Trust will be invoiced from the Funeral Director but will claim the cost from the family) •To provide a service on behalf of the Trust for Non Viable Foetus (NVF) where the hospital is arranging for cremation. •To transport paediatric cases for post mortem and placenta's for examination from Leighton Hospital to Alder Hey Hospital, collect and return on completion.
Price should be quoted per visit rather than per specimen transported. • To transport Products Of Conception (POC) specimens from Leighton Hospital to Crewe crematorium and ensure delivery to the crematorium within one week of being notified.
To transport tissue blocks and tissue sections from Leighton Hospital to Crewe crematorium and ensure delivery to the crematorium within one week of being notified. • To act as a liaison between the Trust Bereavement Manager and bereaved families when required where they have requested the return of post mortem tissue blocks and tissue sections/whole retained organs to make their own funeral arrangements.
