CP2306-22 Winter Service Vehicle Fleet (Gritter) Tracking System
Devon County Council currently utilises a gritter tracking system on its winter service vehicle fleet to track, monitor and record gritting activities across the road/cycleway network it has responsibility for within the county of Devon.
The current contract is due to expire in April 2023, therefore the Authority is planning to procure a replacement gritter tracking solution in early 2023.
The Authority currently has responsibility for 8000 miles of road and a winter service gritting fleet of 49 vehicles which currently have gritter tracking telemetry installed.
Prior to undertaking any procurement for the new tracking systems the Authority is looking to get some insight and understanding of the current market offerings and emerging/potential future technologies available and would very much like feedback from providers in the marketplace.
If your organisation offers gritter tracking solutions we would be extremely grateful if you could assist by completing a short online questionnaire regarding solutions that you offer.
This process is hoped to assist the Authority in developing their requirements so that they are deliverable, practicable and would open participation to a wide market whilst providing a cost-effective solution for the Authority.
Details of how to access the questionnaire are given below.
Suppliers who wish to assist in the Authority are requested to express their interest in the opportunity and access the details on how to complete the questionnaire at http://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk and complete and submit the questionnaire by no later than noon on 16th December 2022.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please submit these via the messaging function available through the opportunity on the http://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk portal.
