Market Assessment Questionnaire for the provision of Unscheduled Dental Care Provision across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (North Midlands)(the Commissioner), would like to invite Providers to respond to a market assessment exercise to enable the Commissioner to a) review the scope (including location, access and hours of the services) and specification and b) assess the market interest of Unscheduled Dental Care Provision across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
This is a market notification to advise that the current contracts for Unscheduled Dental Care provision across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire expire on 31 March 2019.
A patient consultation and engagement process was launched on Monday 21st May 2018 to enable NHS England North Midlands to consult on the contractual options regarding the future of the Unscheduled Dental Care Provision.
NHS England North Midlands (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire local office geography) service 4 local authority areas: Derby City, Derbyshire County, Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire County (excluding Bassetlaw).
The Unscheduled Dental Care Service will provide patients with care and treatment to address severe dental pain or prevent significant deterioration in oral health and promote routine care across all local authority areas indicated above.
Advanced notification: It is intended that the tender will be published in late July/early August 2018.
These opportunities will be open to the entire market, including the current providers.
As this tender is for existing services, the services must be fully operational by the service commencement date of 1st April 2019 in order to ensure continuity of care for patients.
