Copper Telephone Cabling Management
FCO requires a minimum of two engineers, with a proven track record in delivering cabling services (in particular working with block wiring) to support office moves and installations across its estate.
The staff must hold DV clearance or meet the standards to go through the vetting process, UK citizens and will work alongside other suppliers, including the existing telephony provider, electricians and the office services team.
The engineering resource will be based at the London office (King Charles Street) covering a normal working week (Monday to Friday during the hours 0830 to 1630) with some out of hours work.
The engineers tasked to carry out the services must comply with all the FCO checks and procedures.
The key objective is provide continuity of network services in the next 2 years, to support delivery and transition to the longer term project of improving telephony.
The selected supplier will be expected to work with FCO to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered, ensuring minimal disruption to operational tasks.
Primary location will be London (and travel to other sites within the UK when necessary), i.e. - King Charles Street, London (this will be the base location) - Old Admiralty Building, Whitehall, London - Hanslope Park, Hanslope, Milton Keynes - Lancaster House, St James's, London - Chevening House, Kent The contract with the successful bidder shall last for 2 years with an option of two extension periods of up to 12 months.
