SC19035 - Faversham Creek Bridge 2019
The successful contractor will be required to design and construct a replacement (or part replacement/part refurbishment) opening bridge at Faversham Creek, Faversham, Kent.
The scope will include associated operating controls for opening the bridge, controlling road traffic and the weir gates and sluices. three small brick structures will need to be demolished 2 of which have been identified as containing some asbestos.
Traffic management measures including route diversions will be required throughout the duration of the works on site.
The contractor will be appointed to undertake several CDM roles such as Principle Contractor and Principle Designer.
The Client has commissioned some enabling works and will make available surveys undertaken (including principle bridge and M&E inspections) at tender stage.
The successful contractor will be required to undertake a number of different surveys prior to commencing works.
Contractors expressing interest in tendering for this project will be required to complete a selection questionnaire to demonstrate their capability and capacity to undertake the project.
Responses will be scored, and a short list of tenderers selected to participate in a competitive tender.
Following the tenderer selection process competitive tenders will be sought using the Competitive procedure with Negotiation.
The NEC form of contract will be used.
Tenders will be evaluated both of price and quality.
