The brief

The Physiotherapy Service will be required to deliver and have particular expertise within the following areas:\r \r a) Relevant, fast track and easy accessible physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management of employees who have been injured at work or who complain of musculoskeletal disorders and general/mental health related conditions as appropriate. \r b) Workplace-focused rehabilitation to facilitate the employee to remain at work, or to return to work as soon as possible.

This would include forms of exercise such as clinical led Pilates.\r c) Ergonomic workplace assessments and training / tool box talks, if necessary, to facilitate the employee to remain at work or to return to work as soon as possible.\r \r (2) The service provided must be aimed at providing the following benefits to the Council and its employees:\r \r a) Reduced risk of injury.\r b) Compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.\r c) Timely, relevant physiotherapy when needed.\r d) Occupational focus for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and health conditions.\r e) Staff retention.\r f) Reduced absenteeism associated with workplace injuries.\r g) Reduced costs associated with absenteeism.
