The brief

The support to live at home service will provide care and support to people in their own home and to those living in the five Medway Extra Care schemes.

The service will include long-term homecare, enablement homecare and care within the Extra Care Schemes.

Medway currently provides homecare to approximately 1000 people delivering 9744 hours of care per week. (Reference period w/c 18 April 2022) The service provides health benefits by enabling people to live as they normally would at home.

It provides a tailored care package that promotes independence which positively affect mental and physical wellbeing.

Homecare packages are allocated to the most suitable provider following a referral being sent to the providers on the framework.

The new Contract will commence on the 1st April 2024 and this is an invitation to inform potential suppliers of the Council's intention around these services.

Please note that this is not part of a tender phase.

The Council would like to invite interested parties, who currently provide or have experience in providing domiciliary care to a presentation that outlines the service requirements and to understand more about the delivery model and the proposed procurement timeline.

This event will take place via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 2nd August 2023 at 13:00.
