SCC LP Driver Wellbeing Program
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
Surrey County Council wishes to appoint providers to assess our staff on their ability to drive and then signpost them to appropriate driver e-learning training as a result of the assessment.
This will be run initially as a pilot.
Surrey County Council currently has over 10,000 employees excluding schools based staff.
Staff work at various locations throughout Surrey as well as in Kingston-upon-Thames.
The council is divided into seven directorates, Adult Social Care & Public Health; Children, Schools and Families; Deputy Chief Executive’s office, Communities, Finance, Legal, Democratic and Cultural Services and Environment and Infrastructure.
As an organisation, we want to ensure our staff are safe within their work and have identified which roles require driver assessment and training within each of these directorates.
This has been done via a number of factors relating to the driving requirement for their role.
For instance, they could drive for a high percentage of time, do multiple visits, carry vulnerable passengers or drive a liveried vehicle.
We wish to assess their current driving ability and standard via an online tool to ensure they are safe on the road, then offer them appropriate training should they require this.
The contract will be a noncommittal framework as the Council cannot guarantee the levels of spend for training.
