Engagement Session for Providers of Care and Support Services Deaf and Deaf/blind People Date: Thursday 12th September 2024 Time: 12:15 - 13:45 Where: via Teams Purpose: Nottinghamshire County Council is preparing to re-commission its Care, Support & Enablement framework.

This is the framework contract through which care and support can be purchased for people with a learning disability/autism/mental health/physical or sensory disability.

There are very few organisations on the current framework that have the communication skills required to provide effective care and support for people who are Deaf or Deaf/blind.

This engagement session is to create an opportunity to: • Explain more about this framework contract • Share information about the opportunity soon to be tendered • Offer providers a chance to share their thoughts and views about this opportunity or their experience of the current framework for these services Target audience: Providers of care and support services with the communication skills to deliver services in BSL and/or touch/tactile sign.

Please Note: BSL interpreters have been booked for this session.
