The brief

The Council in partnership with Catalyst Housing Charitable Trust ('Catalyst Housing' or 'Catalyst') have been working with designers Projects Office to develop a new co-working space in West Ealing.

The co-working space covers 1300m2 on the first and second floors of an existing office building in West Ealing, with creative studios on the second floor and shared working space and offices on the first floor.

The branding and spatial design are already established and construction is scheduled to start in spring 2018, with the planned opening in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The project is the culmination of several years of community consultation and various engagement exercises and there is enthusiasm for the project in the local community.

The ambition is to build a thriving, diverse, and affordable workspace to support local small businesses, freelancers, artists and creatives.

The Council is currently looking for workspace operators who would be interested in submitting a tender for the Ealing Works hub project.
