Waste characterisation
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits below the typical range for Environment & Waste contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 11,894 valued Environment & Waste tenders in our corpus.
This project will require consultancy services to: • Review existing data on wastes from compost-based bioreactor media and sediments • Advise on likely waste classification (i.e. hazardous or non-hazardous) based on UK legislation and Environment Agency guidance • Recommend and carry out additional testing to determine if the materials could be classified as non-hazardous wastes • Identify costed disposal options for these wastes, including potential pre-treatment and locations (transport to be separately priced) • Assess potential for recovery of metals and/or decrease in volume of waste produced More details about the Coal Authority and the project are appended to this notice.
