The brief

Under requirements of Health Technical Memorandum 08-02 (HTM 08-02), the Trust is required to appoint an Authorising Engineer to act as an independent professional adviser in relation to the its lift assets.

Therefore, to facilitate the provision of independent advice, audits and reports regarding the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Trust)'s lifts and ensure they are adequately supported, the Trust has awarded a contract for Lift Authorising Engineer Services.

The Authorising Engineer (AE) is required act as assessor, make recommendations, monitor the performance of the relevant service, and provide an annual audit to the Trust's relevant staff in accordance with the requirements set out under both HTM 08-02 and Health Technical Memorandum 06-02 (HTM 06-02) within the required timescales.

The term of the contract is 1 year with the option to extend for a further 5 years.

This extension shall take the form of five 12 month incremental periods.
