St Helens Council is seeking expressions of interest to provide support for a mother (under the supervision of Childrens Services) and her new born baby as follows: Flexible support but will require twice daily visits, including weekends varied over the week.
Total time 4 hours per day. ·Support in managing a tenancy – budgeting skills, managing bills, purchasing appliances etc Support in accessing baby groups in the local community Support in accessing DV programme Support in parenting skills; ensuring Mum is meeting Babys’ needs, routines in place Befriending support – Mum can feel quite isolated at times and consequently doesn’t attend to her own medical needs and seek medical advice when required Support in following processes to manage her current relationship and her relationships with her family members This support would be required in twice daily visits at first for a period of two hours for each visit.
The visits would need to be both announced and unannounced and at different times of the day; first thing in a morning, evening and midday.
It would be preferable not to have numerous different people visiting as mum needs to be able to build and maintain positive relationships with professionals.
