The brief

Cornwall Council previously advertised this contract on 7th September 2021 (DN549016) Publication reference: 2021/S 000-022162)).

The previous procurement (DN549016) has been abandoned due to the process not being sufficiently competitive.

The Council is now re-advertising the contract in a new procurement (DN586659) under the provisions of Regulation 27 (Open procedure - Regulations 27(4) and 27(5) accelerated procedure).

Without prejudice to the procurement exercise the Council would welcome your interest to participate.

Cornwall Council wishes to commission a Provider to ensure high quality alternative education is provided for children and young people, through a partnership approach with a number of providers to ensure a range of high quality, cost effective provision in Cornwall, which enables a flexible approach and range of provision based on the needs and circumstances of the young people who require this service.

Our expectation is that Cornwall's Medical AP Provider will make a profound and meaningful contribution in maximising the engagement of learners through successful Partnership working that includes innovative approaches to learning and provision.

Our Medical AP Provider will ensure that parents, carers and Corporate Parents of learners and schools will be fully involved and informed regarding learner progress, achievements and educational experience.

Our medical AP Provider will ensure that learners accessing this provision are educated in an inclusive, holistic manner that ensures academic progress and social, emotional and personal development in order to enable learners to reach their true potential and become fully functioning citizens within their local communities.
