COV - Residential and Nursing Care for Older People

Service Requirement: This tender is for nursing and residential care provision in standard and enhanced/dementia residential and nursing homes.

Nursing and residential support services will provide 24-hour care and support, 365 days a year, to older people in a permanent residential setting with registered care homes.

The service is predominantly for people aged over 65 years, who are residents of Coventry.

Registered Care Homes will be based within Coventry boundaries and be Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered (nursing and residential for older people).

Framework Term: The Framework will operate on an initial 4 year basis from May 2020, with the option to extend for up to 10 years (4 years + 2 years + 2 years + 2 years = 10 years).

Tendering Timetable: Initial Framework Opening Timetable: The procurement process will run with an initial framework opening time period, with tenders to be submitted by 4th March 2020.

Any tenders submitted after 4th March 2020 will not be evaluated until after 6 May 2020.

First 12 months of the Framework: After the Initial Framework Opening Timetable, Tenders may be submitted for evaluation at any time.

The tender will be open for the first 12 months, until 31 March 2021.

After the first 12 months of the Framework: It is the intention to re-open the Framework on an annual basis.
