The brief

The Scope of work is to assist DECC (and the other public sector funders) with such tasks as may be required as follows: • Provide a technically informed review of MeyGen's project milestone reports. • Confirm the extent to which milestones agreed in the Grant Offer Letter have been achieved. • For each claim for payment, provide verification of project progress in the form of a cost certificate to enable DECC (and the other public sector funders) to authorise payments. • Briefing DECC on technical aspects and likely project deliverability. • Attending meetings with MeyGen as required and briefing DECC on issues relating to or arising from such meetings. • Monitor project development and provide a technical assessment of progress against the project plan. • Provision of independent technically informed advice on proposed changes to the project, however they arise. • Attend Knowledge Sharing ‘Lessons Learnt’ workshops 1 & 2 (ref: GOL) with MeyGen and DECC’s invited attendees and produce minutes for dissemination through DECC’s chosen routes. • Direct engagement with MeyGen in the capacity of an “independent technical advisor contracted to DECC” as may be required by DECC (a troubleshooting role).
