The brief

The University of Sheffield has awarded a contract for three fermenters (working volume: 1 x 1 Litre, 1 x 5 Litre and 1x 20 Litre).

The fermenters will be used to cultivate native or recombinant bacteria , yeasts, or microalgae for a range of products (intracellular or extracellular; proteinaceous products or small molecules).

The system must be designed for both aerobic and anaerobic fermentations.These fermenters are intended for both teaching and research purposes.

This contract is for the supply, installation and commissioning of one system (all 3 fermenters), including warranty and service contracts for 3 or more years.
