The brief

This Request for Information (RFI) sets out the Trust's situation and objectives in respect of manufacture and installation of interpretation upgrades across the Mourne area of Northern Ireland (NI).

The Trust seeks initial information from a range of bidders as to possible solutions, capacity, capability and relevant experience.

An Interpretation Masterplan was developed earlier in 2025 for the Mourne Gullion Strangford Global Geopark area.

The existing interpretative provision varies from the dated and almost unreadable through to recent and high quality panels.

It is characterised by many different styles and there is no overall 'brand'.

The Mourne Gullion Strangford Geopark Interpretation Masterplan provides a unified approach to the whole area to determine how interpretation that is unique, specialised and memorable can be introduced across the whole landscape.

Following on from development of the Interpretation Masterplan, Forever Mournes have secured funding to implement priority upgrades to interpretation across the Mourne area (cluster).

The outcomes of this commission are to manufacture and install the identified priority interpretation upgrades across the Mourne area.
