The brief

Proud to Care (PtC) is a south west initiative to raise the profile of careers in the adult social care sector and support employers with workforce-related issues including recruitment and retention.

Local Authorities have a responsibility under the Care Act to support the sufficiency and sustainability of the independent social care market.

Many counties have their own PtC website and provide unique support for the challenges faced by care providers in their area.

Cornwall Council has an External Care Workforce Team within the People Commissioning Service who deliver this support under the Proud to Care Cornwall brand.

We are commissioning a new website with an integrated Content Management System (CMS) to deliver enhanced functionality for the External Care Workforce Team (Proud to Care team), registered employers, existing care workers and job seekers.

This specification has been developed following engagement with key stakeholders and outlines the broad requirements of the website from all four user perspectives.

It also includes the expected outcomes and deliverables, and forms part of the contract with the chosen provider.
