Marketing Service for Inhouse Fostering for Plymouth & Torbay Councils
This sits below the typical range for Health & Social Care contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
Plymouth City Council and Torbay Council need to increase the number of foster carers fostering for the local authority.
Foster carers provide placements in family homes to children and young people from 0 to 18 years, including, in particular, sibling groups, and teenagers with complex and challenging behaviour .
We are seeking to attract experienced foster carers, but also encourage those who have never fostered before to become foster carers.
We particularly want to increase the number of locally available foster carers; in Plymouth for Plymouth children and young people and within Torbay for Torbay children and young people, to enable children to remain as close to their families, friends, education and health support as possible.
Both Torbay and Plymouth care for a wide range of children, from babies to teenagers and older young people, some with very complex needs.
Some placements will be required for a short period of time, for example while adoptive parents are found, while others will be for the child's entire childhood.
We are particularly interested in recruiting foster carers who can provide full time, long and medium term placements, and carers with more specialist therapeutic skills.
We are also seeking to increase the number of parent and child foster carers, who offer time limited placements while parents are assessed in the care of their child or children. h complex and challenging behaviour.
