The brief

An experienced market provider is sought to develop and deliver a monthly food and craft market, for Cygnet Square in South Thamesmead.

Cygnet Square is Thamesmead's newest Civic Square in Peabody's Southmere development.

In Southmere a new community of existing and new residents are coming together, making Cygnet Square a key space to support social inclusion and community cohesion.

The appointed organisation will work closely with Peabody and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a series of 12 markets between July 2024 and July 2025.

The markets should run regularly and should provide a consistent offer of reasonably priced food, fresh produce, and craft stalls.

Key Partners for the market programme will be Bow Arts, TACO! and the Bexley Library Services.
