The brief

CVDPREVENT is a new national audit of cardiovascular disease prevention in primary care in England.

This contract opportunity is to provide clinical leadership and professional and stakeholder engagement to support professionally-led quality improvement in addition to tailored outputs and reports (Workstream 3 of the audit).

The 2019 NHS Long Term Plan identified cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention as a national clinical priority, with a commitment to prevent 150,000 strokes, heart attacks and cases of dementia over the next ten years.

To support the aim of preventing CVD, NHSE/I is funding CVDPREVENT.

The audit will be part of a broader strategic intent outlined in the Long Term Plan to work with system partners to drive CVD quality improvement.

Workstreams 1 and 2 of this audit will be carried out by NHSD and PHE and hence the successful bidder will need to work collaboratively.

Full details of HQIP's requirements for Workstream 3 are set out in the specification document.

HQIP uses an e-procurement system.
