Provision of financial support to key service review areas in Specialised Commissioning

Financial support to the key NHS England service review programmes of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities; the pilot new care models (NCM) in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services CAMHS and adult low and medium secure mental health services; and whole genome sequencing is currently provided by contractors operating through a contract with Arden / GEM CSU acting as the procurer of services in accordance with the contract in place to procure specialised commissioning services.

However due to changing rules from April 2017 an alternative solution methodology to continue that support for a maximum of 3 months is required.

The project team are therefore inviting suppliers with the relevant experience to deliver this requirement to respond to an invitation to quote.

Mental Health and Learning Disabilities; the pilot new care models (NCM) in CAMHS and adult low and medium secure mental health services; and whole genome sequencing are key areas of focus included in the detailed NHS England business plan.

This focus is to review these services and recommend alternative and appropriate arrangements for high quality patient care.

Service teams are in place that are reviewing these areas and making recommendation to the Specialised Commissioning Oversight Group and the Board of NHS England through the Board subcommittee which is focussed on specialised services.

The outcome will inform commissioning and delivery strategies for these services for these areas.
