This advert is for prior information only of an upcoming opportunity with Bath & North East Somerset Council.
The Council offers a food waste collection service to the majority of homes within the district and its business waste customers.
A contract is required for the treatment of food waste arising in Bath & North East Somerset at an appropriately licensed anaerobic digestion or in-vessel composting facility.
Bidders will be asked to provide a haulage service for bulked household collected material from the Council's depot(s), along with a local point of tipping for commercially collected food waste.
It is envisaged the contract will commence on 1st February 2022 for an initial term of 7 years, with up to 4 year extension.
The invitation to tender documents will be advertised in October 2021.
