The Council requires a partner to carry out the Principal Designer role as defined in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 to support Craven District Council's Grant and Loan programme which broadly consists of: - Design Visits to clients' homes throughout the Craven District to formulate the design and technical requirements to meet the assessed needs of the client.
Visits may be carried out jointly with North Yorkshire County Council Occupational Therapists where requested. - Drawings and Schedule of Works: Provision of CAD drawings (before and after) and schedule of works. - CDM Designer Risk Assessment and Checklist of Information: To carry out a Risk Assessment and detail documents/permissions required to complete contract information. - Liaison with all duty holders: From conception to completion of works. - Carry out site visits to monitor works in progress and provide monitoring reports.
Be available to respond to contractor issues either on site or by phone at short notice to ensure the timely completion of works. - Final Visits: To clients' home throughout the Craven District to sign off works that meet the specification requirements.
