The brief

The Supporting People Programme commissions housing related support for people who need help to maintain their tenancy and live independently in the community.

This contract will provide 26 hours of housing related support per week, and will include both floating support to young mothers living in the community and support to young mothers with eligible support needs living in the accommodation units.

It is expected that a minimum of 6 rooms of accommodation will be provided for this service.

The age range for the client group will be 16 -25 years of age.

Referrals will be made to the service via The Council’s Family Panel and Housing Services.

The contract duration will be for a maximum of 4 years, covering an initial period of 3 years plus 1 optional extension of 1 year (3 +1= 4).

The anticipated annual expenditure for this service is not expected to be above £20k per annum.
