The brief

The University of Plymouth would like to invite agencies/suppliers to an industry engagement day on 1st May 2019 at 0900 to 1200 in 416 Cookworthy Building The University of Plymouth to show case the following opportunity and to engage with individual companies to discuss delivery options.

The South West Creative Technology Network (SWCTN) is a £6.5 million project designed to drive the growth of the regional creative economy.

The SWCTN brings together universities and industrial partners; pooling their research and innovation expertise to develop cutting-edge practices, techniques and products in creative digital technologies.

SWCTN is funding three one-year programmes around the themes of immersion, automation and data.

The grant is part of Research England's Connecting Capabilities Fund, which supports university collaboration and encourages commercialisation of products made through partnerships with industry.

In order to give the SWCTN the best possible chance of delivering meaningful economic impact across the region, we are seeking to procure 'Routes to Investment' support for beneficiaries of the programme.

Beneficiaries include Fellowship Grant recipients (approx.

25 individuals per cohort / year), Prototype Grant recipients (approx.

10 individuals per year), Development Grant recipients (varies in number between institutions) as well as staff and students within the partner organisations.

SWCTN has identified four priority areas for the Routes to Investment support: • Legal Services • Accountancy Services • Intellectual Property • Access to Finance We are inviting organisations with expertise in one or more of these areas to propose how they could deliver support to the SWCTN.

This could comprise, for example, a combination of 1:1 and 1:many provision.

We are prepared to work with one or more suppliers to cover all of these areas.

We are expecting this opportunity to be around £39K per year over all four areas for up to 3 years.

Please email: procurement@plymouth.ac.uk if you wish to partake in the industry engagement day.
