NHS Hull CCG Sensory Processing Disorder - Specialist Assessment & Support
NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is procuring a Sensory Process Disorder Specialist Assessment and Support service for Children & Young People within the city for a pilot of 14 months.
The service will provide a therapy safe, high quality, dignified, and cost effective person and parent centered service for those identified with complex sensory processing difficulties.
The service will provide comprehensive assessment, interventions through support planning (e.g.
Sensory Diets/EHC plans), and evidence based support to children and young people which is compliant with relevant NHS and Royal College of Occupational Therapy guidelines for the assessment and support of sensory processing disorder.
The objectives of the service are to provide: - Information and advice to parents/carers and those working with children and young people - Specialist assessment for children and young people who present with complex SPD - Personalised support planning (including sensory diet) with a schedule of regular monitoring and review of such support plans - Workforce development including resources and tools for parents/carers and those health, education and care staff working with children and young people with SPD During the contract term, the CCG and provider will regularly review the outcomes of the service to refine the delivery model.
The Contract will be for a term of 14 months with the opportunity to extend for up to 12 months by mutual agreement between the Provider and the Authority.
The maximum term of contract is consequently 26 months.
Funding for the initial contract has been approved and any subsequent extension will be subject to the approval of further funding.
The value and end date stipulated within this notice therefore only represents the 14 month contract due to future intentions not being known at the point of procurement.
