Supporting a smoke free pregnancy: Training for maternity staff - Health Education England - NHS/SoEPS/18.437

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of Supporting a smoke free pregnancy: Training for maternity staff exercise.

HEE is working with NHS England (NHS E), NHS Improvement (NHS I) and Public Health England (PHE) on the delivery of commitments in the Maternity Safety Strategy to provide training for maternity staff to improve knowledge, skills and confidence to help pregnant women stop smoking.

A range of on-line training is already available for healthcare professionals to access.

This programme will provide opportunities for more in depth learning through face to face training, to enable staff to practise the relevant skills and develop confidence in delivering interventions.

This procurement is with regards to developing and providing evidence based training for midwifery staff to improve knowledge, skills and confidence to engage with pregnant women on the issue of smoking.

The maximum value of this contract is £130,000 inclusive of any applicable VAT.

This procurement is being run under the Lighter Touch Regime, as a one stage open process.

The deadline for submission of completed ITT submissions is Tuesday 04 September 2018 at 12:00pm (midday).

Late submissions will not be accepted.

The e-portal system will shutdown at 12:00pm and any un-submitted bids not registered to the system at this time will not be accepted.
