Cyclical & Response Maintenance Contracts ( West of England)

English Heritage Trust wishes to re-tender the measured term contracts for a) building maintenance services and b) mechanical & electrical maintenance services for parts of its estate of historic sites, associated buildings and offices.

English Heritage Trust manages over 400 historic properties across England as well as offices and stores.

The sites have a mix of both historic and non-historic assets and some hold collections of significant value and of historic importance.

Some may be in remote areas and may be difficult to access.

They vary significantly in size, complexity, geographical location and type ranging from furnished historic houses, ruined castles and abbeys to prehistoric and Roman remains, industrial sites, gardens and statues.

Almost all are protected as scheduled ancient monuments and /or listed buildings, registered historic gardens, conservation areas.

A few are World Heritage Sites.

English Heritage Trust conserves and maintains these properties for the enjoyment of present and future generations.

This Tender covers the West of England and is broken down into Lots as follows: North Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Shropshire & Staffordshire, Cheshire, Lot 14A B&CE, £1, 470,000 North Wiltshire, Bristol, South Herefordshire & Gloucestershire, Lot 15A, B&CE, £731,000 Somerset, Dorset & South Wiltshire, Lot 16A, B&CE, £1, 750,000 Devon & Cornwall, Lot 17A, B&CE, £1, 200,000 Isles of Scilly, Lot 18A,B&CE, £243,000 North Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Shropshire & Staffordshire, Cheshire, Lot 14B, M&E, £635,000 North Wiltshire, Bristol, South Herefordshire & Gloucestershire, Lot 15B, M&E , £160,000 Somerset, Dorset & South Wiltshire, Lot 16B, M&E, £2, 000,000 Devon & Cornwall, Lot 17B, M&E, £280,000 The tender will be a two stage tender with an envisaged 5 suppliers being taken through to the ITT stage for each Lot based on their response to the initial Pre-Qualification (PQQ) exercise.

The values shown are for an initial five year term.

The contract may subsequently be extended for up to two further years.
