The brief

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is offering providers the opportunity to tender to fund, design, refurbish & fit out an existing built building and grounds within the Scarborough Hospital site and on completion, to provide day care provisions for children aged 0 - 5 years and in addition care during all school holidays for children from 4 - 11 years inclusive.

The provider should have a proven track record of delivering high quality, flexible day care and education to children meeting Ofsted standards and fully adhering to the EYFS, be knowledgeable about the children's agenda, and be able to deliver full day care for a minimum of 50 nursery places.

As the existing service will be discontinued, TUPE of the existing staff will apply to the new provider.

The building is expected to be delivered under a scaled lease agreement link to service level requirements for a period of 5 years.
