THIS PRE-TENDER MARKET ENGAGEMENT (PTME) EXERCISE IS CLOSED.

THIS NOTICE INCLUDES THE SUPPLIER BOOTCAMP REPORT FOLLOWING THE PTME EXERCISE.

This notice is to inform the market operators of a Supplier Boot Camp which the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is hosting on 28th November 2017 related to the potential procurement of a contract for the provision of storage and distribution services.

The pre-tender market engagement relates to a potential future opportunity which covers requirements for Vaccines and Other Medicines, including fulfilment services for a Pandemic Specific Vaccine, to be mobilised during an Influenza Pandemic.

The requirements are expected to store national stock holdings of circa 5,000 - 7,000 pallets and provide a programme of regular deliveries for routine vaccinations.

In addition with flexibility to support scheduled, urgent next day, same-day deliveries and rapid deployment for specific products, within 5 hours in response to an emergency situation.

Regular schedule programme of routine vaccinations approximately 3000 deliveries per week covering 10,000 locations in England, covering a range of health care organisations, including NHS trusts, NHS Foundation Trusts, General Practitioners social care providers and pharmacies.

In addition there are some consolidated delivery operations within the devolved administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Rapid Deployment covers UK; majority of products will require delivery to acute healthcare trusts, with a small number of products potentially requiring deployment to any post code location in the UK in response to a biological incident.

All services to be provided in a chill-chain environment of +2°C to +8°C with regulatory compliance to the 2012 Human Medicines Regulations and holding a Wholesale Dealers License (WDL) which covers the storage and distribution of refrigerated medicines.
