The brief

The purpose of this contract is to ensure DVSAs specialist vehicle weighing equipment is available for use at all times, through regular repair & maintenance, calibration and verification in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations and UK/EU legislation relative to the use of the weighing equipment in place at the time.

DVSA retains a number of weighing locations throughout Great Britain (GB) from which it delivers vehicle weighing services, in particular for its Road Traffic Enforcement.

For Enforcement activity to be successful the weighing equipment and concrete approach levels have to be compliant and accurate in line with the Consolidated Code of Practice.
