The brief

The purpose of this PIN is to inform market operators of a potential future exercise to procure services supporting the provision of Occupational Health and Wellbeing services for Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) employees.

HI NENC require an Occupational Health provider that can offer both physical and mental health support for our employees.

There would also be an expectation for the successful provider to offer counselling, physiotherapy and other specialist support as and when we deem necessary.

The supplier will be required to provide professional advice and guidance on both physical and mental health issues to the HR team to enable us to support employees to fulfil their role and responsibilities; return to work after sickness absence; and to help manage long-term conditions.

The provider will also be expected to assess potential new employees for their fitness to work as part of our pre-employment checks, providing professional guidance on any reasonable adjustments or support that may be required.

This will be prior to the potential employee joining the organisation and throughout their employment with us as well as any new issues as and when they arise.

The ability to provide additional wellbeing support on specific health related topics via onsite and/or online training and other events would also be beneficial.
