The Council wishes to invite tenders for the supply of works in respect of the complete refurbishment of the Jubilee (foot) Bridge, Newark.
The works are to include the replacement of the current life expired timber approach ramps with steel / Tarmacadam alternative(s).
The works will include the upgrade of the electrical lighting and the complete redecoration of all steelwork (including the underside of the bridge (safely working over the River Trent)).
The aims and objectives of this project are to completely refurbish the Jubilee (foot) Bridge which forms part or a national cycle route and is a bridleway.
The life expired timber approach ramps are to be replaced and upgraded.
All existing areas of the bridge are to receive a full decoration.
The works are to include the upgrade of the external lighting with new LED lighting.
Key project dates: Request for attendance at mandatory site visit - 10/05/2023 Last available date for mandatory site visit - 12/05/2023 Clarification deadline - 15/05/2023 Tender submission deadline - 21/05/2023 Anticipated contract commencement - 24/07/2023 Suppliers must be available to commence work on 23/07/2023 and will be asked a pass / fail question on this in the selection questionnaire.
