Maxwell Entrance Doors 2023

The University of Salford wish to procure the services of a Principal Contractor to undertake the removal of the inner and outer curtain walls and 3 sets of double manual doors, 1 set of double automatic doors and one single automatic door to the main reception of the Maxwell Building, University of Salford, Salford M5 4WT.

These will be replaced with new powder coated aluminium double glazed curtain walls and automatic doors.

The outer curtain wall will include 2 sets of bi parting sliding automatic double doors and 1 automatic bi parting/sliding door.

The inner wall will include for 2 pairs of automatic bi parting/sliding doors.

The project will briefly consist of; the protection of adjacent areas, modifying suspended ceilings and floor coverings to accommodate the new curtain walling and redecoration.

Computer generated visuals of the proposed doors will be required prior to appointing a door supplier and client instruction and commissioning works for the new doors will be required.

Date of works to take place over weekend, ideally over the Easter weekend or a May bank holiday weekend when footfall is relatively low with all doors to be useable following the weekends works.
