The brief

The BFI has a requirement for certified data tape stock.

The BFI's new Digital Preservation Infrastructure has a dual data library system, which incorporates separate, automated LTO6 and IBM TS1150 data tape robots.

Therefore, both LTO6 and IBM sets of stock are required to provide secure and resilient long term data preservation.

Certified stock is necessary to fulfil the performance and warrantee criteria essential to the very stringent requirements of the BFI DPI system.

The total requirement is as follows: 47 x LTO-6 2.5TB Spectralogic certified with pre-applied barcode labels and Terapack (pack of 10) 13 x 3592 JD Media Pack Spectralogic certified (TS1150 Technology) with pre-applied barcode labels and Terapack (pack of 9) The delivery schedule for the supply of the above is between December 2018 and January 2019
