Under the UK Housing Act 2004 there is a requirement for landlords to have a EICR carried out on all electrical installations, fixtures and fittings within their rental properties.
Th contract will also allow for minor works to be carried out as a result of a C1 or C2 repair being identified at the time of the EICR being carried out.
The contract will also require the installation of Smoke & Heat detection to dwellings which do not have any form of such detection, or that the current smoke & Heat detection installation is more than 10 years old.
The EICR will be carried out every 5 years for Communal landlord Supplies and every 5 years for residential dwellings, or at change of occupancy within the residential dwelling.
