The brief

This is an exploratory industry workshop to engage with space sector organisations to test assumptions around options being explored by the UKSA to develop an internationally competitive and commercially sustainable small satellite launch market following pathfinder launches in 2022/23.

Date and Time This event is part of the Space-Comm conference, taking place on the 8th of September 2022 10;00-12:00.

Please use the postcode GU14 6TQ to find the Gate F entrance.

For further details on location, please access https://www.space-comm.co.uk/visit/your-visit/ Event registration This is an in person only event.

Please ensure you register for the event at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/uk-launch-2022-25-and-beyond-buying-selling-and-delivering-launch-from-uk-tickets-399982788287 In addition to the workshop registration, please register to attend the Space-Comm conference using this link.

We would appreciate it if there would be a maximum of two tickets booked per organisations, as the venue limits us to 100 participants.

Aims As well as gaining feedback on UKSA plans, this workshop aims to facilitate conversations between launch service providers, satellite mission owners, payload providers, governmental bodies, launch brokers and other space sector organisations.

The workshop will help inform the way forward towards achieving the goal of the UK becoming the leading provider of commercial small satellite launch in Europe by 2030, as defined in the National Space Strategy (NSS).

The workshop outcomes will support UK Space Agency decision making following the allocation of £108 million funding for spaceflight in the UKSA Corporate Plan for 2022 - 2025.

This session will also test the assumptions being made around the optimal commercial mechanisms to be employed to facilitate the capture of the European market in commercial small satellite launch.
