The brief

The Employer is seeking to award Framework Agreements to a maximum of six Contractors for a duration of up to four years (2+1+1) for the period January 2017 through to December 2020.

The Framework Agreement is for the provision of Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Services (Major) to support projects and for the purposes of clarity “Major” is defined as Work Packages with a minimum value of £250K and an upper value of £2M.

The estimated value of Work Packages that will be placed through the Framework Agreement for the four year duration is £25M.

The proportion of works is expected to be approximately: 80% Mechanical, and 20% Electrical, Control and Instrumentation.

Although, the Framework Agreement has a duration of four years, the initial award will be for a period of two years (January 2017 to December 2018).

Thereafter, two further one year extensions can be awarded at the sole discretion of the Employer.

Any extension to the initial two year period will be based upon the continued requirement for the Framework Agreement and the performance of the individual Contractors.
