Daventry District Council - Fire Escape Staircase Replacement
Daventry District Council is undertaking a programme of Fire Improvement Works to their Civic Offices within the town centre of Daventry.
The Civic Offices are located on Lodge Road, (NN11 4FP) within Daventry Town centre.
The works are being undertaken to improve fire protection provisions within the Civic Offices, following a recent Fire Risk Assessment.
The Council intend to enter into an agreement under a new NEC4 (Engineering & Construction) Short Form Contract (ECES).
The Contract is to be executed as a Deed.
The existing Fire Escape Staircase (Serving the Council Chamber) has been deemed unsuitable during a recent FRA Assessment, requiring replacement with a suitably designed replacement.
The current staircase is of a Spiral design which does not provide adequate escape widths for a Public Assembly facility or the maximum occupancy levels of the Council Chamber.
