The brief

'RMP soldiers commencing Phase 2 Trade Training at the Defence College of Policing and Guarding at Southwick Park are enrolled onto an apprenticeship in Policing.

Delivery commences during Phase 2 training and continues into Field Army service in accordance with the RMP Whole Life Development Strategy.

Time has been allocated in Phase 2 training for the delivery of Functional Skills but the Army cannot guarantee that this will continue and the contractor may be required to complete the delivery of Functional Skills during Field Unit service.

Delivery in the field can be structured as courses or more informal in evenings and spare time.

The information given below is based upon historic figures, is indicative only and cannot be guaranteed.

RMP soldiers, completing Phase 2 training, may be posted to 3 Regiments based throughout the UK, Germany and Cyprus with a number of detachments in locations such as Canada and the Falkland Islands.

Soldiers may also be deployed on operations or to training locations such as Kenya where assessment opportunities may be available, however, travel to these locations would be at the expense of the contractor.

Soldiers are inducted onto their apprenticeship programmes during Phase 2 Training at the DCPG.

In addition to the delivery of the Technical knowledge component of the apprenticeship, the Phase 2 training may include opportunities for the Contractor to assess aspects of the competence component of the apprenticeship.'
