Mapping approaches to assessing post graduate qualifications for registration or membership
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the lower-middle of the Research & Development band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 20,405 valued Research & Development tenders in our corpus.
This research has two primary aims: 1. to map how and with what rationale other bodies (professional regulators, non-UK royal colleges, medical boards) assess Post Graduate Qualifications (PGQs) and take into account practice history when considering applications for membership or registration from doctors; 2. for countries from which we receive a high volume of registration applications from International Medical Graduates (IMGs ), we would also like to understand what frameworks are in place for assuring the PGQs (for example quality assurance, regular audits and monitoring) that IMGs from those countries tend most frequently to hold, whether those are obtained in the country where they gained their primary medical qualification or not.
