Introduction - Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole ("the Council") are tendering the rights to hold a Marathon event, the first commencing in the Autumn of 2019.
The Marathon event should have the feel of a Festival and take place over the course of a weekend in September or October to be agreed by the Council.
The supplier should have experience within their team of delivering Marathon events to an IAAF Bronze level standard or higher.
This contract is purely for the rights to hold the Marathon event on Council land.
The successful supplier will own the event entirely and be responsible for everything relating to it.
Scope - It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 21st September 2018 with the first Marathon event commencing in the Autumn of 2019.
The length of the contract is for six years with the option to extend the contract annually for a further two years.
Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for eight years.
It is anticipated that the contract will start on 21st September 2018.
