Request for Information - Wakefield District and Dewsbury HIV Adult Outpatient Service
Wakefield District and Dewsbury HIV PIN notice NHS England - Yorkshire and Humber Hub would like to invite providers of Inpatient HIV services to express an interest in providing an Adult Outpatient Service within the Wakefield District and Dewsbury localities.
The service should be provided within these two localities with approx.
360 patient and have robust links to interdependent services such as genitourinary medicine/sexual health to ensure seamless pathway for patients.
The intention is for the provision of a hub and spoke model that supports and promotes network working.
Adult specialist services for patients infected with HIV include inpatient care for HIV related conditions in Adult Specialist HIV Treatment Centres and outpatient care provided by these Specialist Centres including outreach when delivered as part of a provider network. (Manual for Prescribed Specialised Services 2016/17, p55) Any provider of these services should be fully compliant with the requirements of the NHS England B06/S/a Specialised Adult HIV service specification (link below).
